Question USB PORT

I posted here months ago, my usb port wasn't working and then all of a sudden it started working. i didn't know how but i ignored it. tonight i was trying to plug something in my broken usb port (not the same one another port with broken pins) and as soon as i tried to put something in it my usb port stopped working like before i tried restarting and everything

no you miss understood me , i have 2 ports one that doesn't work and one that works when i plugged my device in the broken port my other working port stopped working

Probably caused a "live short" when you plugged a device in to the broken port --- and that may have killed the other USB port if they share a common circuit.

If this a desktop PC, the motherboard will have to be replaced.
