Hello all,

Just got a new Hisense TV, and I hooked up a fat PS3 with HDMI to use as a streaming device. I had zero issues with this on my old TV, but now I get no audio.

I get perfect video, but no audio on either the menus or the streaming apps.

I logically assume that this is due to the change in TV, but I have been unable to fix the problem, and looking online hasn't turned up any working solutions.

Any ideas in what to do with the audio settings?

Go to settings, sound settings, audio output settings, select hdmi, automatic, press x to save…
One of the first things I tried, I'm afraid. Even re-running the HDMI device setup from scratch with the new TV makes no difference.

My guess is that what the PS3 thinks are the correct settings and what the TV actually requires are different. No idea what specific settings to try, but the default definitely does not work. Neither do any recommendations I've seen on YouTube.
