Whenever I open google chrome, or any other browser, the search engine is changed and set to some random one ive never heard of. First it was webcrawler.com, and now it loops into 3 of them and then 404 errors. I've been trying to get rid of this for the past 2 days and nothing seems to work. Have done Windows Defender + Malwarebytes full scans and it hasnt found anything, ive reinstalled chrome twice, even deleting the entire Userdata chrome folder, and ive checked my Extensions + Search engines and theres nothing there other than google.com. Any advice?

Here's what it looks like

EDIT: iit also managed to block google, so i can't even go to google.com to search things up

do you have possibly a restore point from before this browser hijack fiasco started?

I'd also run a Freefixer scan, examining every non-whitelisted entry quite carefully...
Try the Bleeping Computer manual method. I've used many of their removal techniques with success.
Nothing was working but HitmanPro came in clutch

Only problem is, it's now asking me for product activation. Wants me to purchase hitmanpro in order to remove these things, how can i remove them manually? Not really sure what to do with the Hosts thing

Nevermind I'm good now, went into the hosts file and deleted all the random redirects and then manually deleted MaskVPN. Chrome actually works and is 1000x faster now. Thank you guys for all your help!

Hitman Pro offers the use of one time use of one time use for personal use...;no need to purchase/activate to use...
