Question When to upgrade monitor?

I currently have a BenQXL2411 144Hz 1080p monitor which I bought in 2015 which has been perfect.

I'm looking to upgrade my rig but the monitor only has DVI and 60Hz HDMI. My preferred GPU would be the 5700XT which doesn't support DVI.
I could buy an RTX 2060 Super card at the same price with a DVI port with a little less performance and stick with my current monitor.
Should I be looking to upgrade my monitor to a display with HDMI 2.0 or better with displayport to use the 5700XT?

If anyone has any recommendations for 144Hz monitors feel free to share but not looking to spend more than 250$/£ if upgrading is my best option

Cheapest adapter I can find in the UK is £95.. ouch

The question is it worth to buy this and use a 5700XT over keeping the BenQXL2411 and buying a 2060 super card?

or buy a new monitor and get the 5700XT and try to sell the BenQ monitor.

Would you consider the BenQXL2411 to be a poor monitor worth upgrading in 2019 with a brand new PC ?

Even though 5700xt is little bit more powerful, i'd recommend to get the 2060s.

Asus and EVGA graphics cards does come with a DVI-D if that's what you are looking for.

Adapter should work but it often creates problems, so if possible, just avoid it.

Upgrading monitor is not necessary.
