Let us stop the fanboyism and acknowledge AMD's market strategy - the AVERAGE consumer not troubled by synthetic benchmark scores or maxing our Crysis. I see too much hate going on from both camps - let us make love not war. But in reality anyone who 'hates' AMD needs a friggin reality check. Intel will not be on top forever - anyone remember the Athlon series? People were sure AMD would lead the way forever after that.

They don't necessarily rig the benchee; they rig the DEFECTIVE COMPILER - then the innocent programmers do their job and unknowingly create a DEFECTIVE benchee.

But beyond that, some benches are carefully, deliberately handpicked by who knows who employee, etc, whatever - and the benches beyond all this don't matter esp. synthetics and irrelevant gauges of performance = all that matters is real world performance. Jay you know as well as I do that hector was the whiner those days are behind AMD, the court cases are real and have found Intel guilty in 4 seperate countries.

how long do you as a thgf mod suggest people hold an AMD grudge? now they have comparable performance on the outdated overly revised K8 design on an almst antiquated SOI process with no new metals, how long does the grudge bear for scaling a process and design that fell out of competitiveness and was revised back to competitiveness?
What they have done with k8 tinkering is brilliant bar the lapse before phenom 2.
