What do you want from your gaming next?
How about a little innovation? Trying something new? Especially in AAA titles. How about some new IP instead of a reboot that's the fifth sequel in a series?
What do you need in your new gear?
Well, when it comes to hard drives, better price, performance and size, simply. I'm kind of glad that mechanical HDDs are still growing in size; SSDs aren't quite accelerating in that regard fast enough. But it will be nice when solid state finally overtakes mechanicals. You wouldn't believe how many dead HDDs I've had to deal with, for customers and myself, because of damage in shipping; they're so fragile.
How should game or gear developers meet your newest demands for amazing experiences?
Reliability. See above, but also note that most of my mechanical HDDs have lasted less than 3 years on average. That's mostly Seagate with some Samsung, Toshiba, WDs and Maxtors in there. Sure, I always back everything up, but as the size of everything increases, it becomes more difficult to restore backups. Also, warranties have often returned defective refurb HDDs that lasted just a few months. Please don't do that.
