I'd like to see more single player updates and interesting stories. Everythning is geared towards mmpg but I prefer good story lines, some quality FPS, and adding to a story once the main story has been completed
To answer the question, the biggest issue I have is the reduction of CPU performance gains. We are pushing more resolution than ever, but the CPUs haven't sped up to compensate.
For the drive, I'd love to have more backup space.
What do you want from your gaming next? What do you need in your new gear? How should game or gear developers meet your newest demands for amazing experiences?
What do I want next from my gaming? Honestly, I want the kind of games that I play now to simply run faster. I already have a dedicated graphics card, I don't want a newer one just to play newer games. If a game has a lot of files, I want it to load faster -- That's why I like SSDs.
I'd like to see a better way of easily connecting to like-minded gamers to play games. Perhaps categorizing the types of gamers could help make it easier to find the right groups. There's plenty of tools to connect once you have a friend but finding a good gaming friend is the hardest part.

This is completely backwards....
It is the GPU that is keeping high res framerates low, not a weak CPU. If you wish to see what the CPU itself is capable of, play at 1080P. When you frames drop 50% at 4k, that's your GPU's fault. (Always)
My next gaming improvement is a stable graphics card. I'm running a HD 5770 from a decade ago that may or may not have heat issues on one machine and a GTX 1030 on another that glitches on occasion. The second is my main gamer so I am thinking something in the $150 range (the games I play I just want to look pretty, but aren't frame heavy).
I want medium size form factor, with easy access to components. Too small of a form factor and I can't fit normal size components in there. I also like RAID capability so I don't risk losing everything. For software I want graphics that make it easy to discern distinct objects, don't blend all the colors and textures so close together that I can't tell one item from another.
More focus on single player gaming; I don't really want to play online (MMO or match-type) most of the time. Give me a well-written, fun campaign to play and I'm happy.
