[SOLVED] Working computer suddenly no post or beeps

Hi, I recently just transfered the parts of a working computer to a different case, and on the first boot, there was no post and a constant short beep form the motherboard speaker. I decided to reseat my ram and try again. This time, there was no beep and no post at all. I went on to take out both ram sticks(I have only 2 sticks), change the gpu and change the power supply. Removing the ram or gpu completely also didn’t cause any beeps. The Cpu should be working as the heatsink turned hot after a little but. Not all my standoffs are screwed into the motherboard, but I checked to see if they made any contact with the motherboard and they didn’t. I also went and reset cmos and replaced the cmos battery. This station was working just last night, and after the transfer of parts it just stopped working. Could it be the motherboard? I appreciate the help.

Check the processor to socket interface--particularly if it's an Intel processor.
