And 7, 10, XP, Vista, Me, 98, etc, etc, etc...all still have 'bugs' people are discovering.

'Bug free' software does not exist in the consumer space.

I would agree with you . I hadn't run into any major bugs with the pcs that were running Windows 7 , with the exception of one desktop, that wasn't downloading windows Updates I did another format of the HDD and reinstalled the Windows 7,and now windows updates is working .

perfect customization settings better interface but so many updates too often and a bit complicated start menu should be better organized but in the the end its a good OS it still needs a lot of work also its kinda unstable with many applications yet but i believe in a few years its gonna be the best overall OS out there, time will tell.

Windows ME was a bug. All of it.

I just skipped 8.1 as I didn't have a touch screen and it didn't have a real interface for people who didn't use tablets or laptops. It forgot all the people who had bought the previous versions might want an upgrade too.

One update a month is too many?? how soon people forget that cumulative didn't exist in win 7. I guess if you had win 8 it may not be such a change.

After the latest windows 10 update (about 1 and a half weeks ago) I started getting freezes in explorer while copying files. I've uninstalled it and everything's back to norm. Anyone else with this?

same here explorer.exe not working sometimes start menu wont open status baar problems and problem getting into windows from boot

windows 10 boots fast but then it uses it's hybrid boot system.Whenever I restart the system, it shows it's true colours. It boots as slow as a sloth.
Also, older hardware has lots of driver issues.Nevertheless, it is a good upgrade for those running low end versions of win 7-Starter or Home basic

This depends on the age of computer and if you are using an ssd or not. I find restarts are almost identical to the hybrid start in time.

On my mums 10 year old dell, yes, restarts are slow. we only do them after a windows update/

True. Win10 is optimised for the latest gen stuff but considering they want people from Win7 to upgrade, I'am pretty sure many will be disappointed.(Many will be happy too )

Also windows 8 wasn't that bad. At least, I saw many saying that.
I have my good ol' HP nx6310 lappy with a core duo and 2.5GB of 667Mhz Ram
HDD-55GB and it runs like a charm on win8.
I tried to experiment Win10 and Win7 and they made it a lot more sluggish.

Others may have experienced the exact opposite but all I want to say is that everything has it's positives and negetives :)

They removed the windows experience index so people wouldn't see how bad their pc's are, and may believe the lies. Now people with Dual Core CPU try to run win 10 and wonder why everything is so slow. (it was a pure coincidence you mentioned DC, I hadn't looked)

win 10 does make hdd load faster at startup, its one reason using mums pc isn't as painful now.

If I weren't getting a new kb tomorrow I would add something in sig saying if my words don't make sense.. add a w, Its so painful.

I never use windows experience index cause I don't trust much of it's results.
By the way,I am actually using that lappy right now :)
with 20 tabs in chrome and antivirus scan running in background it's still not showing any signs of lag. Everyone has different experiences with their OS

i ran it on this pc in windows 7, everything was max score except the CPU and Ram. It makes you feel better. I also ran a stack of benchmarks too to see how i stacked up, not as good but I only had a gtx 960 at the time.

That's True.It does make people feel better and I actually fooled my friends by showing them high scores of my Desktop.
But the reason I don't trust it is because of incorrect scores in some rare cases.

Just because you have not seen nor run into a bug does not mean they do not exist. Most bugs do not affect the majority of people. They do exist though that is why there are Windows updates, they are there to patch out the bugs.

The biggest issue I have had so far is getting the computer to shut down. I thought that maybe fast boot was the issue but I have it disabled. I have clicked on Shut Down, went to bed, only to find the next morning it was still on the shutting down screen. It doesn't happen every time. Other than that Windows 10 has not been bad so far.

Having used Windows 10 daily for a while now on my main rig (my laptop's still on 7 since I use it for university), I have come to the conclusion that it's ... acceptable. No more, no less. I dislike the new start menu design (thank you classic shell for supporting Windows 10!), and it still has a few weird issues (see below), but on the whole its OK.

Would I install it as an upgrade to Windows 8? Maybe, my experience of both is equally 'meh'
Would I install it as an upgrade to Windows 7? Nope, 7 just works too well with all my hardware and software
Would I downgrade a Win10 PC to Win7? Probably not. As I say, it's not bad, it just doesn't give me any real advantages or incentive to upgrade, whilst still having issues.

Speaking of issues, my 2 main ones are as follows:
It's ridiculously inconsistent. To get some of my games to work, I've had to install and uninstall them numerous times in compatibility mode, but repeat the same steps enough times and it will just magically work... Well, when it doesn't BSoD, anyway... (also, for one of my games, there is a utility to preview meshes for content creators that WILL NOT render them properly in Windows 10 - random sections will appear transparent, and the inside is visible from the outside, yet they work fine in game, and the previewer works flawlessly in Win 7)

Second issue, WHERE THE HECK IS MY NOVEMBER UPDATE??? Yep, my copy of Windows 10 (pro x64) is still stuck on build 10240, because it never finds the november update using Windows Update. Other updates come through fine, but not that one. And my testbed laptop, which was clean installed using the same installation media, downloaded and installed it fine. Go figure...

It is not wrong to say that Windows 10 is not just amazing as well as comes with full of new feature's.
I love cortana to search anything by just saying it to the cortana.

I've reinstalled a lot to mitigate issues. It doesn't bother me much, I love a fresh install and these days reinstalling everything and getting back to what you had previously is easy.

I have a REALLY annoying thing with input types though, it refuses to only use danish, theres always two, either english or swedish. And the OS-language is English, because I dislike any translation of software.

Other than that, it's the best version of Windows I've ever used.

While I agree with what you're saying the name of the thread is Your Experience with Windows 10, so nobody should really be making sweeping generalizations based on their own experience with the thing. Perhaps a poll would give better overall data on the thing.

I think a lot of people judge Win10 on the privacy issues raised by the OS, and while that is no small concern it shouldn't taint one's view of the whole code. My personal experience is, it works very well, overall I like it, but like any other poster here, take that with a grain of salt and decide for yourself.

I am lucky, majority of my hardware is less than 11 months old now, only my mouse is older. It wasn't intentional, the only problems I have had with Win 10 turned out to be my speakers dying from old age. I have seen 3 BSOD since I got Win 10 in July, one of those was my fault and other two caused by Malwarebytes so easily fixed. But then Win 7 was that stable too. Most of the problems are caused by drivers I find.

I've had Win10 for about 6 months now, never a BSOD, worst thing that used to happen, but doesn't anymore, is Win10 updates trying to update my Nvidia driver after I've already done so through Nvidia GeForce Experience. Thing runs smooth as silk for me, my rig is relatively new at 3 years with updated hardware along the way.

Ever since the first official version of Windows 10 I've been installing it and then uninstalling and going back and forth between 10 and 7.

My conclusion is that Win10 has still a long way to go in order to become as good as Windows 7, as stable, as fast, as beautiful, as bug-free, as reliable and as compatible most of all.
