I need recommendations for an ultrawide monitor due to mixed info online. Any cost is fine as long as it is 21:9, 1080p, IPS (not OLED or VA) and at least 100 hz (preferably 144 hz).
Edit: I live in eastern Europe and can mostly use Amazon.de for outside the country electronic goods.
Which one would you choose?
MSI G321Q which is 1440p ips 170hz 1ms 32" quantum dot with G-sync
Or
Xiaomi G34WQi which is 1440p VA 180hz 1ms 34" curved with premium FreeSync
They both have similar price here.
Xiaomi has better pixel density, it's ultrawide and it's curved, but it's VA and...
I upgraded from a 1080Ti to a 4070Ti this past week. No complaints but my ultrawide display hasn't been working properly ever since. I know that I can make a custom res, but that isn't solving my problem exactly. It is 1080p but stretched. I will provide what I have done so far. The monitor...
Hiya folks! ^_^
As the title suggests, I'm having trouble picking a new curved gaming monitor. There's so many options out there!
It will be connected to my Gigabyte laptop which runs an Intel i5-12500H & Overclockable RTX 4060, 32GB RAM
I'm currently using a 27" curved AOC monitor (QHD @...
I have a 27" 1920x1080 display and I can create and run perfectly well 1920x810 resolution. Even the 21:9 scale works fine. Then you will ask yourself: "well, but what you need from me?"
I would like to use a higher resolution than the native 1920x1080, since it's a 27" display and native...
Hello tom's HARDWARE community,
I need help deciding between these three Monitors.
For INFO they are all the same price in my Country and I am not savvy enough to make a decision based on specs.
The picture quality is more of a priority for me then the latency, but I still don't want to end up...
With the lackluster launch of the 4050 8G, only the 3060 12G and 3060 T 8G are in the race.
Context (skip):
The issue is that at 3440x1440 the usual benchmarks don't apply as gains lower. In fact even 1440p benchmarks can't be trusted because the reviewer sometimes don't specify whether they...

The Odyssey G9 looks appealing, but...
The monitor does not display a picture, but the sound works as well as the backlighting. I have tried both the HDMI and DP and nothing has worked. I was just wondering if anyone might have more insight on this issue and or ways to maybe repair it as the monitor is far out of warranty. The...
With my new company we are using chrome remote desktop in order to connect to a strong local computer for 3D drafting work. I want to use the full screen application over 2 screens but there is no support for this. What I am wondering if it is possible is to set the two screens to act as 1...

Hi, I am planning a dual monitor setup for level designing in Unreal Engine which I started recently. I had one confusion regarding the setup on whether to go for an extra monitor and make a dual monitor setup of 1920x1080 monitors or get an LG ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor to work with my GTX 960...

Hi all,
Unboxed the G34WQC today and when I was checking for dead pixels I noticed a dark patch / shadow on the top / middle part of the screen.
Is this something “bad”, or is this par for the course of a budget-ish curved VA panel?
Cheers!
Hi there,
I have an ultra-wide monitor, the HP Envy 34c Media Display, which has worked fine for years but suddenly it started acting funny.
The reason I post my question here is because my Google searches have turned out empty and I'm reluctant to open it up and check the hardware inside.
The...
Hello!
I am specifically looking for information and opinions from people who monitor VRAM usage in 2020 titles... Preferably on Ultrawide 3440x1440 resolution. Would you say the 8GB offered on the 3070 is enough for 1440p Ultrawide gaming going forward?
I have a 3440x1440 monitor, which is...
I have NEVER owned a gaming monitor. For the last decase I've just been gaming on 1080p televisions. A few years ago I got a Hisense 4k 60hz TV which once again doubles as my gaming monitor. I think it has like a 30ms response time. Now that I'm more into gaming and have a 3080 on the way, I'm...

I don't have the most knowledge about monitors just basic stuff and i found these 2 monitors the problem is I love really wide monitors so I found a ultra wide in my budget but it seems too good to be true, its very cheap for a ultra wide and has a good refresh rate. The other one is a slightly...
So my current setup consists of 2 24,5” iiyama blackhawks connected to my computer. But I’m getting an ASUS Zenbook Duo for my upcoming mechatronics study. I have two desks: one for my gaming pc, and another slightly bigger one for work, school, soldering and so on. To complete my study setup, I...
I'm looking to get a new 1440p ultrawide monitor for my set-up and an upgraded GPU to power it.
Not willing to shovel out massive amounts of money for Nvidias top range rtx cards so got my eye set on the Thicc III ultra RX5700xt, similar performance to the Red Devil but around £50 cheaper as of...
So I was rearranging my desk and I knocked my ultra wide monitor off its stand and it slammed hard on the desk. Turns out I broke the screen pretty hard, lcd display is wack now. Is there any service that fixes them? btw my monitor is LG 29UM68-P
Hi, i recently bought an Asus Rtx 2060 super gpu, but the ultrawide resolution is gone from the graphics settings in league.

Hi,
I want to buy an ultra wide monitor as a substitution for my two old Samsung monitors.

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone had any strong views on which of these two would be the best investment?
I'm running an R9-3950X, RTX 2080Ti, 32Gb of RAM.
The LG gets slightly better reviews (although the Alienware is very new and hasn't been widely reviewed yet), has a higher refresh...
I am currently looking for a new 1440p ultrawide monitor to upgrade from my old 60hz 1440p AOC. Not looking to spend a huge amount of money for something like the ROG Swift so I found some pretty decent options for around £440.
One looks better specs wise (1ms response time vs 8ms) and is...

Hi all,
I've been using a double screen setup for quite a long time because I find it really practical when working with many programs at the same time (Photoshop, Indesign, Archicad, 3dsMax, Rhino, File Explorer...).
At the moment I have 2x Dell U2515H with 2560x1440px . Thing is I got used...
I'm looking for an Ultrawide for my PC build that has a GTX1070. I'm stuck between the AOC CU34G2X 34" vs. LG 34GL750-B 34."
Both are 144hz, but I'm worried about the different panel technologies. I mostly play Single Story Player and some Steam Indie games with some Digital Illustration...

Morning!
Need a new monitor, thinking about going ultrawide. My budget is about €700, and I found these three monitors, here is a comparison link (but it doesn't show everything, like the input lag is missing from two of them) https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/42caf527c
MSI...
I have an Aurus 2070 RTX installed in my rig. My main monitor is a 35" ultrawide AOC, second and third monitors are Sceptre brand 27". I have no issues at all with the 35", but the two 27" monitors have been experiencing extreme artifacting and occasional loss of signal after switching to...
Hi Guys
I am currently building a system to game on my ultrawide 2560x1080 monitor. I have currently configured the build to include an i7 9700k and a 2070 super however i was wondering if this was overkill for the resolution and whether i could get away with an i5 9600k and 2060 super. I am...
Is there a way to check if semi-old pc's/graphic cards will work fine on ultrawide displays? (say 29-34"). I'm looking at buying one of the refurbished but updated computer towers on ebay or amazon and they seem to be machines from around 2012 with updated everything except graphic cards. I...
I'm adamant on upgrading to an ultrawide monitor this christmas and have found two great, cheap monitors, but I'm having difficulty deciding between the two.
I'll be running it with:
GTX 1060 6GB
i5-7600K (OC @4.5GHz)
16GB DDR4 RAM
And I mainly play fps/racing games and browsing through...
Do you stream YouTube at 4K when using an ultrawide monitor (3440x1440)? YouTube sert to auto defaults to 1440p, however, there are extra pixels going to waste at that resolution compared with a 2560x1440 monitor right? I'm not even sure it makes much of difference IRL, and videos stream faster...
