It would be a good combo for 1080P gaming.

If you don't have the parts yet though I'd change the CPU over to the Ryzen 3600 which performs better for gaming (2700X would be better for editing).

Thank you for your reply. I took that into account, but in youtube videos it look's like the 2700x performs better in games that the 3600.

Yeah but what is your budget and what will you be using your pc for? Because I'm pretty sure you don't need that 8c/16thread cpu.
I've got a pcpartpicker list that equates to 1.1k but I don't think I'm going to be pushing the CPU that far. Just for games that need power and editing.
What would you propose I choose?

What resolution? What frame rate? How well would you like to run games?
In my opinion it is a great bottleneck free combo.
Good for running the old 1080p@60fps at some pretty high settings.
But not very good for intense ray tracing.
And kind of good for 3D renderings.
