Hello everyone. This is my first post and I am a rookie when it comes to pc building. I built this PC close to 3 years ago now and after 7 hours that day and finally getting everything figured out and working, I left it be, only spraying it with some compressed air every now and then. Then, a couple days ago, after downloading Corsair ICUE to sync up all my fans, I noticed it was only recognizing the fans that were plugged into the Corsair USB hub. For some reason, I had set up to have all 6 fans plugged into the Corsair RGB hub via the fan port. but only 3 of those fans were plugged into their respective RGB ports. The other 3 were plugged into the RGB hub that were screwed onto the back of the case that came with it. So I decided that was probably my issue, and to plug everything into the same RGB hub. The one that came with the case had 3 fan connectors and 3 RGB connectors, while the one that came with either the extra fan I bought or the AIO, had 6 of each connector. And that was perfect for me, since I had 6 fans including the AIO (3 fans that came with the case, 1 extra that I put in, also Corsair, and 2 on the AIO). However, after plugging everything into the 6 connector each Hub, all the fans spin, but only the 3 fans that came with the case light up. I wonder if it’s because the Hub just can’t handle that many fans? I would like to find a solution that all the fans can light up, and can also be controlled and sync together to have the same effect, which was my original problem and is why I decided to rearrange things from the beginning. Thank you for reading this and any thoughts or help is appreciated greatly.

Also I apologize, here is a list of my entire build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/s9nNWc

Can you show, how you have fans connected to the fan hub?

Generally RGB has to be connected in a chain (specific order). Look for RGB port numbers.
So if there are RGB headers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
then you have to connect your 6 fans to headers 1-6 and not use headers 7,8.

First, do as SkyNetRising suggests above. Corsair equipment does care about using sequential ports.

Then I suggest you try this. Ensure all your fans are connected as you plan to - all 6 on one hub. Now UNinstall iCue. Reboot, and then re-install iCue. I think this may trigger iCUE to redo its search of your system and find ALL of those lighting units on that Hub so that it does send out signals to them all. You may need to re-establish any custom adjustment you had for iCUE (both for lights and for CPU cooling) once they all are working.

Here it is. the hub has 6 of each connector, and they are all currently connected

Thank you for this suggestion. I’m not sure which ports need to be connected first, so any information on that would be greatly appreciated. And reinstalling Icue makes a lot of sense, basically so it can freshly search for the connections. That’s very intuitive and seems like something I should’ve thought of haha. I’m also having some problems now with my GPU, somehow I was able to get it to work just using 2 PCIE cables before, but every video and thread I’ve seen says to use 3 individual PCIE cables for my specific GPU, which makes a lot of sense. I obviously wont bother this thread with that since it is irrelevant to my question, but I will try your suggestion once I get another cable for my GPU. I’m thinking of ordering them through CableMod, which I know is reputable, but I also know it’s usually a good idea to only use the cables that came with the PSU. Problem is, my PSU only came with 2 PCIE cables and I need 3 haha.
