Hello, I have the ASUS ROG Strix laptop, but the motherboard connector to the main monitor was fried(I was told service), and the main monitor was not displayed anymore, easy workaround: I used it with a second monitor.Worked perfectly until one day, I got fed up with the Gforce experience because it wouldn't install the latest update; it kept failing, and I found online that one thing that could fix it is to uninstall Nvidia drivers and install them back. So.. I uninstalled Nvidia drivers, and 2nd monitor stopped displaying.BIOS wouldnt display on 2nd monitor either, tried before doing the driver uninstall to try to tweek some things but it didnt boot on the secondary and i didnt fix it at the time..
So i've tried unpluging the main monitor from the mobo and to soo if it might boot bios on second monitor.. still wouldn't .. than i've tried taking out the m.2 ssd out the laptop, which had the windows installed on it and i've tried installing the proper drivers on it.But when i've put it back into the laptop still no image..
I can hear the laptop boot up.
I'm out of ideas...I would like to keep files but it's not necessary

A few combinations...seeing the laptop wont boot with bios display.

1. Connect external monitor after bootup with the monitor already turned on. (Use step 5 if needed)
2. Connect external monitor after bootup with the monitor turned off, then turn on. (Use step 5 if needed)
3. With the external monitor turned on, then plug the hdmi cable in to the booted laptop. (Use step 5 if needed)
4. Boot the laptop with the external monitor connected with the monitor turned off then on, and then vice-versa. (Use step 5 if needed)
5. Check if the external monitor has a hdmi input selection in the monitor's on screen menu. If so then select a different input, then re-select hdmi.
