[SOLVED] Can't plug in power cable

I tried to plug it in but it just doesn't go in fully. I can only get it a little bit inside but the cable always hangs out a bit. I've tried it with force but I don't want to do it too hard or else it might break.
What should I do? Do I need to do something else first to get it in?

2nd picture doesn't look straight. Wiggle while putting it in then after that push with force. You won't break if it's straight.

Thank you. Wiggling did something and it's farther in now and doesn't hang out anymore but it still doesn't look like it's fully inside or is it? The cable is harder to get outside now so it seems to be in and the computer turned on briefly (I hope I didn't just break it..) but what do you think?

It looks fine and pins do extend a fair way so it should be fine. Maybe plastic being new it's a bit stiff.
