I could post them, they're all in sketches 😛, I'm an architect - but this here is a tech forum/thread. Funny fact is that the study desk I've designed for my lil bro is one that can be used for his studies as well his social networking tech gadget(PC). so its related to techy stuff :)

Will be later building a SFF rig for him -> SG07 w/USB3.0 support. This time around - felt like including Rig 2 in my watercooling agenda. But cash doesn't grow on trees nor are they found around rubbish bins 😀 So the projects are progressing slowly. If you, Ryan and Rubix or anyone else would like to see the developments. I can post pics in successive PM's after I get about construction/fabrication.

It was in my head a long while ago. This time around, set about fine tuning it to bro's specifications. After all, a custom suit should fit only the guy it's made for.

*though, its not just my brothers bedroom, it'll be the entire house from foyer to bedroom :) hopefully.

** your CM ocd'ing has made me design a table that has cablemanagement cutouts to manage wires 😛 + if you guy's would like I can show you an idea of a steampunk'd "multifunctional" table lamp inspired from this

If any of you have played the game - you'll know what I mean. BTW, its an awesome game to play like the world detail in AC, just was a bit meh with the ending.

^ have already sidetracked this thread with my jibber jabber 😀
*** will understand if you'll want it edited/removed by mods :)

There is an away for the keyboard section on the forum somewhere, maybe a project log in there?
What game are you referring to btw? Steampunk is always welcome in our house :)
And no, no need to remove anything mate, I like my threads to be a place of discussion and forging out ideas, someone someday may happen across this and be inspired to create something great from the discussion :)

I saw that game on the shelf the other day, but couldn't determine if it was a shooter, preferably first person?

Just played through Deus EX Human Revolution, probably the most addictive game I've ever played, loved it!

bro, I'm yet to finish it, just so many games to play 😛...but yeah the gameplay is amazing+its in FPS. Which makes the whole thing exciting for me as I love FPS'

there are many ways to play the game. Stealth, i.e no gunfiring(or thas what I did at least), head on attack or using magic.

If you liked Dues Ex you will like Dishonored, very similar in terms of gameplay and ability to complete missions in multiple ways.
They are even set in relatively similar time periods (kinda). The Industrial Revolution for Dishonored, and the beginnings of a technological renaissance for Dues Ex.

Agree that the game does end a bit too quickly and its slightly on the short side. But I guess that is countered by the fact you can replay the game again in a completely different way.

thas the fun part - you can take the same mission on in multiple ways. Much like how you can climb just about any wall in AC 😉 and complete a mission, however some cut scenes in AC makes you feel like they were scripted. In Dishonored - you can just about go from point A to point B and feel they were naturally striking up a conversation.

But the steampunk in Dishonored was amazing for me to take in. Spent much of my time looking at game details. Not good if your in stealth mode and trying to avoid overseers on the ground.

That reminds me of the original FarCry, when it was initially released it was a machine killer as is most really good shooters like Crysis, games that can bring a computer to it's knees because of it's performance requirements.

With the original FarCry being set on the chain of islands some of the scenery was absolutely amazing for its day, especially once you had the hardware to fully enjoy it, and take advantage of all the eye candy.

I got killed numerous times just looking around in the game and finally learned to kill all the enemies in a section first, then look around, but some of the island scenes were just mesmerizing.

One other thing I truly liked about the original FarCry was you could go off mission and just explore the entire map wherever you wanted to go and the game would not crash, try that with Crysis Warhead, it will warn you you're going off mission to turn around immediately just before it crashes.

Ry

^ I had a good laugh with that
yeap, Warhead wasn't an open world game - in fact I didn't pay attention to the details as I was more interested in taking those tentacled aliens out with the gauss rifle 😀

Dishonored:
Usually my cover gets blown since I sat around looking around the environment. A must have if you like steampunk.

The biggest problem I had with the Deus EX Human Revolution was the sneaking around parts, I'd be a crappy spy because I cannot stand the sneaking around.

Morality wise I have to admit Deus causes some situations that you have to either get killed or kill either a Police Officer or an innocent person, that kinda sucks and makes you feel bad even though it is a game.

I was in the Police Station and the cops got alerted to my presence and they were killing me so I fought back, they then released the Swat team on me, so I went Terminator on them, it had simply boiled down to them or me, then I got freaky mad and went Postal on the entire rest of the Police department, for pushing me into that situation, when I walked out everyone was dead.

Felt like total crap after that, but didn't have any Police problems anymore, that wasn't the way it was supposed to go I'm sure! :pfff: Ry

well I've played Deus Ex HR just a lil past the first mission - and have been looking to get back to playing the storyline out. I think I've already gotten a headsup on going non-hastalavista on them cops 😀

that wasn't the way it was supposed to go I'm sure!
Does the ending get effected by collateral damage or by killing innocents?

Dishonored made me do "savegames" like mad evrytime my @$$ was blown out - I'd have to revert back to the one where I could take the path more cautiously. In fact I went to the low chaos ending+stealth approach. Will try non supernatural powers and higher chaos on next playthrough.

The ending is decided by the choices you make throughout the game, not the manner in which you complete objectives. There isn't a morality meter or anything.

Just a tip, get the social implant as soon as you can. It can avoid the very situation described above.

God, how many times I reloaded the start of the mission where you have to sneak into the palace. Though I'm pretty happy that's the one mission I didnt kill anyone or be seen.
This one guard... Whenever I got the recording from the chest and turn around he would be right there. Sometimes you could just sleep-dart him and be fine, other identical times he would see you and start yelling.

Have a look at PC Gamers playthrough, their doing it in such a way that it will seem as if Corvo was never involved. Whenever the player kills someone or does an action, it has to completely look like an accident.

^ will take that into consideration! Thanks mate! btw, I forgot the upgrades and what not I got. Though I do remember hacking almost all the rooms in the HQ after the first hostage mission or was it a hostage mission :S ?

The ending is decided by the final decision you make between the 3 choices you have before you at the very end of the game, doesn't make a bit of difference how you played through it to get to the end.

I never got the social implant at all, because IMO there were much more important implants than that one, and the morality was within myself not game judged.

I'm looking forward to FarCry3, I hope it's closer to the original FarCry than FarCry2 was, IMO FarCry2 sucked!

Between the malaria, weapon jamming, and mission tracking back and forth to the far side of the same map, FarCry2 was a total waste of money!

The weapon jamming was the most irritating thing IMO, one of the first things you're taught in the military is field cleaning your weapon, if you keep it clean it will not jam! End of Story!

To get a little bit back on topic check out my latest TecBox cooling in the Exploring Below Ambient Cooling thread, it's at the end of the thread.

The TecBox is completely peltier cooled I'm running no radiators at all!

Presently 7c below ambient room temperature cooling my 2700K overclocked to 4.5ghz and both of my 580GTX in SLI.

Check it out. Ry

I keep up to date with yours as much as I can Ry, its very inspiring and keeps me pushing lol,
I see you found my 4.6GHz thread,

I was going to seek your wisdom out on things, I booted ok and went to Cpu-z validate, only to get a popup 'you need to update to the latest version to validate'
I only updated it about three weeks ago grr, I was holding my breath as it downloaded and installed though *fingers crossed, 'please don't crash, please don't crash!'
I know there are tricks and things I'm totally unaware of but clocking is learning and from a Deneb that I was super proud to boot at 4.5, getting the extra 100MHz really makes me feel like I'm a serious clocker lol and I'm determined to get myself stable at that, temps are not a concern obviously but once I can get stable enough to stesstest I'll post the findings in there,
one more time becuase I'm stoked,
4.6GHz on a Deneb!!!!!

Notes to self/shopping list/sketching plan out

Pump/res for chiller,
Psu to power chiller, third pump and pump in radbox and the radbox fans,

Oh crap I'm going to need another module building lol
Psu and pump can go in there
Switch for 2nd Psu in radbox on extension
8350 maybe going on hold to finance this 😛

End loop (if all connected),
Case res/pump>Gfx1>Gfx2>Radbox.

Radbox,
Rad1>Rad2>Pump2>Chiller
Chiller>Pump3> Return to Main Pc.

Main Pc,
Cpu>Rx240>T-virus1>T-virus2>Case res
Qdc's between Main and radbox, and chiller, so chiller and/or radbox can be removed for maintenance leaving the Pc running on its own
Move T-virusses to right side panel?
Expanding foam for insulation inside ducting
tube foam for elsewhere
remove as much restriction as possible without compromising C.m.
