Hi everyone, I'm just wondering about my overclock on the 2 memory modules I am using in my PC (Using ASUS p8Z77-m pro Motherboard and I7 3770):

Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866MHz CL9-10-9-27-2T 1.5V 2x8gb dual channel

It is originally a kit of 4 but I purchased 2 sticks.

I decided to mess around with the timings and frequencies in the bios and I just want to know if I am doing it wrong or I just have good ram modules:

I used the XMP overclock setting
I changed the command rate to 1T: CL9-10-9-27 1T
I changed the frequency to 2000MHz (fsb:ram 1:10)
I left the voltage at 1.5V (I manually entered this value in the bios - otherwise it would be set to auto)

I ran MemTest64 and ran 2 loops (I know I should have run it more times)
It passed both loops so and I am using this setup now and I am yet to come across an error.

So does that mean I just have good memory modules? Because I see other memory modules at 2133MHz at 1.65 V with CL10. Any thought and opinions appreciated.

You could just have some really good sticks.

Please load up CPU-Z and and post screenshots of the memory and SPD tab.

Here's the data. I'm not a fan of over-volting memory - just in case I can't get the same frequency when I go back to 1.5V.
I'll try to see if this memory can go further with 1.5V, I'll post new pics if I can. Doubt it though!

Ok, I have just done some more testing with MemTest64:

Rough Speeds bios:
2040MHz - multiple errors
2030MHz - system crash - memory management error
2020MHz - tested 3 separate times 1 error out of a total of 9 loops
2010MHz - No errors 4 loops

Exact Speeds:
1009.1 No errors 4 loops
1009.8 No errors 4 loops
1010.9 one error 9 loops total

To conclude, after a couple of hours testing, the max stable memory I could achieve was 2019.6Mhz (1009.8*2) seems to be the absolute max stable for this ram at 1.5v cl9. Great result in my opinion!
Happy I made the 2000MHz mark!
