Hey Guys,

I've been facing a problem ever since i built my computer of it always freezing. All my drivers are up to date and I've also switched out my RAM as I thought I may of bought a couple faulty sticks. I have also downloaded an updated version of my BIOS using M-Flash.

The freezing usually occurs when something happens like opening a new tab in chrome or even just switching browser.

My Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 9600K
MOTHERBOARD: Z370-A Pro
MEMORY: 2 x Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 8GB 3600MHz DDR4
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
COOLING: Antec Mercury RGB 360 Liquid CPU Cooler
STORAGE: Kingston A4000 500GB SSD/Seagate ST2000DM008 2TB Barracuda 3.5" HDD
PSU: Zalman ZM750-HP 750W.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, let us know.

Cheers guys.

That is a very old 10 year PSU I would change it , run chkdisk on your main drive and look for errors

Alright i'll run chkdsk and let you know how I get on.

Whack, I didn't know it was such an old PSU

Results:

Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems.
No further action is required.

I found that during these freezes my (C) Drive shoots up to 100%. There were 2 freezes in the span of 60 seconds...

thats is the cause , try to see which program causes this ,also do a speed test and check your ssd health

also that PSU should be changed ASAP , try to find what suits your budget in that order

It's pretty much every program that causes this issue. You think it is windows maybe causing the issue considering it's downloaded onto the SSD?

Alright, I'll look at getting one next pay. Cheers mate.

And to answer the XMP question, I think I am. I'm not too sure, should it be on or off?

check your processes in task manager when this issue occurs and see which process causes that high % in disk usage

Right, just done a test and it says the health is unknown, I've tried closing the program a couple times but that hasn't displayed it either
