Question Having issues with ASUS vg279q1a monitor

Hello, I'm the owner of a somewhat newly acquired ASUS monitor. I have had the monitor for about three, four months now, and as of recently I've begun to have issues where the monitor does not display properly at any refresh rate higher than 120hz (see attached image 1). From what I can tell, it seems to be an issue with the monitor, as when I have the monitor disconnected from any input, and turn it on, the lower half of the display is still blacked out. As for why I am making this post, I am mostly here just to understand why it is doing this. If it were a problem with the monitor, then I don't understand why it's only malfunctioning when at certain refresh rates, rather than all the time. However, if this is something that can be fixed, and guidance would be greatly appreciated. And for anyone that does see this thread and is able to help out, many thanks

Bad cable would flicker (high or low Hz) / lose signal. That looks like defective panel. Can you return monitor for replacement?
