Hello,

I want to order new stuff for my pc like a SSD, CPU etc but i dont know if my motherboard is compatible with the cpu/ssd i want to get. If my motherboard isnt compatible i will get a new motherboard. My friends say i need to almost get a whole new pc, new watt, new cpu and new ram because the parts arent compatible.
Also if i get a new motherboard, will i be able to use my current cpu on a new motherboard?

I want the Intel 660p 1TB M 2 SSD and an i7 processor dont know which one yet.

MotherBoard : ASRock H81M-HDS
CPU : INTEL i5-4690 @3.50 ghz
GPU : GIGABYTE GTX 1070

If you need more info let me know!

Thanks

Thank you, is it worth to keep my motherboard and get a new CPU or get a new motherboard and new parts?
You can get almost a 50% speed upgrade by going with an i7-4790K.
Here are the benchmarks of yours vs the 4790K.

I think your 1070 will probably run better as well.

There's a couple for about $185 on EBay.
