Hi all,

Below are my current PC specs which i built 3 or 4 years ago.

Now im pretty sure its quite up to date. now I dont really want to change the CPU if it can be helped but
i would like to know what I can upgrade to get a better performance.

Currently running a single GTX 1080 TI but just wondering if i get another 1 will that improve rendering in applications such as
Autodesk Maya with Vray or when using Photoshop (And Can my motherboard support it????). I try using the overclock feature on the application with the card but still get crashes with Maya.

So my overall question is... Is there anything at all I can do to increase my machines performance. Anything at all!
Also if you need any more information let me know!

Thanks in advance really appreciate it.

Really. thats odd how my processor although 2014 is still £400-800 and that ryzen is only £170! do you think its worth it do you, do you think i will get a 1/3 increase in performance? and can you sell old CPU's seems a waste of this processor? thanks

Yes, but dont compare with intel. My life is not broken if i dont have 2 or 5 more fps in game. For real, yes i alse have ryzen, and is great in the game, but with optimal gpu and high mhz ram.

Okay i just dont want it to be a bias decision because you have one, i want it to be perfect for me and worth removing the CPU i have which cost £800 at the time. the benchmarks do look at least double the performance so it looks to be the correct move. Thanks

Ik, but i think you are wont new pc. Miss understanding.

In your situation, best way for upgrade is new cpu. Your mbo have support for last one i7 cpu in the line 6950x.

What specifically do you want faster? whatever it is look at the usage numbers if your gpu is maxed out and your cpu has low usage upgrade your gpu and vise versa. also are those applications single or dual threaded? if so look at newer intel processors amd is close but still not quite there on single threaded. if budget is a concern go with amd :)

Could be running at 2133 alrdy but displays 1066 for some reason. Intel says your CPU can only support up to 2133.

I dunno, though it was odd. [emoji30]
