My monitor worked perfectly for 2 weeks (MSI MAG24C 1080p 144hz 1ms VA) there were no issues. It was running at the right resolution and refresh rate until today. Today, I was playing games like any other day, and I heard a noise like a cable dropping on my desk(I don’t know if this is relevant, I’m confident I didn’t imagine it though) and the display went completely black. I looked around for the disconnected cable and found that the display port and all the power cables were properly situated (I use a surge protector that’s plugged into a wall outlet I don’t know if that is relevant). I then manually rebooted my computer and there were some green lines running across the top, the top right corner had some tearing, and the text was blurry and blocky when I booted. I then proceeded to use an HDMI cable instead of a display port cable, and I had the same issue except now the monitor was covered in multi colored stripes. I swapped back to display port and had the same issue as my HDMI cable. Now, I have re-situated every cable and only the 1/10 of the screen the furthest on my right is completely blacked out and the text is fine using display port. I have a laptop with a 940mx in it with an HDMI port, and I plugged it in using the same HDMI cable I mentioned earlier and the issue is persistent on my monitor. Also, I powered on my PC without connecting the GPU to the monitor and when the monitor boots up the MSI logo appears and there is no tearing, but when I plug in the GPU to the monitor the MSI logo appears with tearing. What does this mean? What do I have to do to fix it?
