[SOLVED] Is my PC good enough for a 144hz 1440p monitor?

I'm interested in buying a second monitor for my computer and was wondering if it was good enough to support a 1440p 144hz monitor. Also, if it is able to run this kind of monitor, what are some I should consider? I am currently in a budget of $500 max before taxes. I am currently considering the Acer Predator xb271hu.

Motherboard: Gigabyte z270x-UD3
CPU: Intel I7 7700
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 ti
Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16gb DDR4 3600MHz
Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb
PSU: I have a corsair cx750m V2

Also, this was my first attempt at a build, and have a feeling I could have done better.

The GTX1080Ti is perfectly capable of 1440p gaming. Get a FreeSync (GSync Compatible) monitor, and you're fine.

I'd have no hesitation getting a440p 144Hz with a 1080ti. I myself have that monitor spec and use a 980ti (like a gtx 1070), and I get good settings and fps. If I had your 1080ti I'd be ecstatic. Go get a 1440p 144Hz monitor with Gsync.

Yeah, I'm running my 1440p 144Hz monitor on an i7-3770 + RX480 (basically = GTX1060).....

That's so relieving to hear. I just might have to go with that monitor. It seems all of the other monitors I'm interested in are "out of stock"
