I want to purchase 500 GB SSD for my laptop. I have 2 options which supports to my laptop are as:

They are directly compared in the Tomshardware review.
The 980 generally has better random read/write, but worse sequential performance than the 970.

Samsung 970 EVO Plus, hands down. 980 only if Pro. Its not all bout speed but chips in them. It also lacks cache so not all suitable for OS.
