whats the difference between these two? other than the color?

i wanna make sure everything fits as intended without any incompability issues specially from the ram.
any suggestions are welcome!
this will be paired with a gtx 980 or a rx 570 that i already have.

thanks for the help!

1)The OEM of the chips on the dimm itself. For example, one might be made by Samsung, the other, SK Hynix.
I couldn't tell ya which is which though.

2)Unfortunately, you could POTENTIALLY run into a compatibility issue: the cpu and mobo. If you order that motherboard and it does not have the 'Ryzen 3000 Desktop Ready' sticker on it, you'll be forced to return it for a different board.
Off the top of my head, Msi's B450 MAX line, and Asrock's B450M A/C support Ryzen 3000 out of the box. After that, you're looking at B550 and X570.

1= you talking about the rams differences right?
2= is there a way to know if the asrock b450m pro 4 comes with an updated bios for the 3000 series?
if not i have this other option but idk if this is a downgrade instead.

Are you going to overclock your CPU? If so then get 3200 memory, otherwise get 2933 memory and call it a day.

nope, but i dont see many options for those in amazon, and im buying from amazon alone, so 3200 gonna have to do, the main problem right now is the motherboard and i dont wanna go overbudget at this point, but if nescesary ill try to get the tomahawk max, only if it comes to it.

Bottomline the CPU only supports 2933, when your memory is at 3200 it will most likely auto overclock your CPU to hit the 3200 mark or you'll have to tweak it to run stable. So no there is nothing wrong with 3200 memory but you'll be asking more questions down the road most likely. I'm just trying to give you a reliable build option without having to revisit Toms so you can enjoy your new build.

The motherboard is not compatible with the 3600 without a bios update.

You want to make sure you are looking at motherboards that are Ryzen 3000 compatible. I don't know of any MATX B450 boards that are.

THis has a BIOS flashback, which I think lets you update the bios without a CPU installed (I might be wrong on how it works, but I'm sure plenty of people here can explain it)

If you're not locked into a MATX board, there are several ATX B450 boards that are Ryzen 3000 ready
