So I just built a PC for my sister using parts left over from my last upgrade as well as some new parts and a GPU from craigslist. It has an MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard, 16 GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance RAM, and AMD FX-8320 CPU from my previous build so I'm almost certain they all work (unless somehow they stopped working in the month in storage). There's a brand new EVGA 600W PSU, and a brand new WD Blue HDD 1TB (still haven't installed an OS so it's completely blank). Then, I just bought an MSI GTX 970 4GB GPU from a guy on Craigslist (thinking he may have sold me a broken GPU). Everything turns on no issue, and both fans on the GPU turn on and stay on when booted (rather than turning on full and then slowing down/stopping). I've tried 2 different monitors, one on the DVI port and the other on the HDMI (one at a time), and both of them said no signal. Haven't put in a different GPU since I really don't wanna have to pull the one out of my build. Is there any chance it could be something other than the GPU, or any chance it's an easy fix?

I just need to ask few things....Do you have the latest BIOS/firmware of your current Motherboard ? Also, are you booting the system in UEFI, or LEGACY mode ? Have you also tried clearing the CMOS battery on the mobo ?

I know my suggestions might sound silly, but I've seen read many GTX 970 boot issues, on some older motherboards.

I’m not sure about the BIOS version or any way for booting. I have no display or onboard graphics so it turns on (probably just to the screen that says no OS), but the display says “no input detected” or “no signal” so I can’t even see anything to troubleshoot it.
