My friends brand new Alienware X51 wont boot up.

Sorry if this is the wrong category to post this question. But my friend has got a brand new Alienware X51, and it wont start up. Everything start to turn on and the fans turn on then everything immediately turns off. Any solutions to this problem? Here are the specs:

Hi

Something which occasionally works with laptops
remove power cable & battery
hold down power on switch for 20 or 30 seconds which discharges some capacitors.
Re connect battery & power cable and try again

If this does not work then contact Dell Technical support for RMA
you should not have to try dismantling to find out what has come loose on a new laptop
Does box laptop delivered in show signs of being dropped ?

They will instantly RMA it.

I wouldn't want any issues if I'd wasted, sorry spent that much money on an OEM pc.

If it is BRAND NEW, and he's had it for UNDER 30 DAYS
- SEND IT BACK TO DELL FOR REPLACEMENT --- NOT REPAIR!

Else, they're paying a +20% plus premium for Dell/Alienware Support and not planning on using it?
