So here's my situation, I wake up next morning and try to turn on my PC but it just won't. It doesn't beep, lights don't go on or anything. It just doesn't work. I've been using it for like a year with no problems but it suddenly just won't start when I press the button.

I've tried and seen:
  • When the power supply is plugged and ready a little green light appears on the motherboard.
  • I've tried switching the power supply and that's not it, it still won't start.
  • I've tried resetting the BMOS by removing and putting the battery back in but it still won't work
  • I've tried buying a new battery but that's not it either.
  • I've tried bypassing the case's power button with a wire or a screwdriver to see if that was the problem but it still wouldn't turn on.
  • I've removed and tested both 4gb ram sticks but nothing has changed.
  • I've removed my GPU but it still won't start, same for my SSD and HD.

I've truly tried everything I could think of but I really have no clue as to why my PC won't start, I don't think it's the CPU because I believe the computer would at least try starting but nothing happens when I push the button. I have not moved or touched my PC since the last time I've used it so I have no idea what could be the problem.
If anyone with a better understanding of computers than me could give me a hand I would be truly grateful, anything will do because I'm completely out of ideas.

My setup:
CPU: Intel core i5 - 3300 (I think)
GPU: GTX 750 ti
Motherboard: Intel Desktop
Ram: 8 gb
SSD: Crucial 225gb
HD: 250gb
Power supply: Hoopson 400W

PLS HELP 🙏🙏🙏

Solution
Possible it's the power button itself on your case, if you have both power and reset buttons swap them on the motherboard header and see if the reset will power on, and vise-versa (the power button does a reset)

If that does not work, try the same on the PSU itself by shunting the PS_ON to ground to force the PSU to power up:

Not the most definitive test, but it will show you the PSU is basically working - I would keep some fans / hdds connected to give it some load on the +5/+12v while the mobo connectors are disconnected...

If you are sure that other PSU is compatible, motherboard probably died as you should have at least some function.

Thanks a lot for the reply, but are you sure that it's the motherboard because if it were dead I don't see how the "STDBY" green light would light up. Do you how I can test my motherboard?

Thanks a lot, I'll try these things!
