Question My Wi-Fi is very fast, and I have a very good PC, but my ping is extremely high.

I have a good PC alongside good Wi-Fi, and websites are usually extremely fast, however my ping in online video games is astronomical. Whenever I join a game my ping slowly crawls up from about forty to more than four-hundred. This started abruptly, and I do not know why. Extra info: I run windows 10, I recently did a 'Fresh Start' on my Windows 10, and I just installed MalwareBytes.
