So recently, I cleaned and moved my computer into a new case due to unclean-able amounts of dust. During the process, i damaged a cpu socket pin, therefore having to purchase a newer CPU and motherboard (used to have a I7-7700k but was discontinued).

After purchasing and installing my new hardware into the new case, It took 30 seconds to turn on the lights to my keyboard and turn on the monitor to display the bios.

The main problem is, is that my PC used to take 7 seconds from power on button pressed, to windows ready to log in. Now it take 15-20 seconds to turn on keyboard lights and reach the “Press DEL to access BIOS”. It also has other problems such as not recognizing my SSD as a bootable device(which is another problem), therefore not being able to boot into windows, getting stuck at “

At a loss here because i genuinely have no clue what the issues are.

Hardware:
Motherboard: Asus Z590-E LGA 1200
CPU: Intel i7-11700k
GPU: ASUS 1070
RAM: DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LED

If you replaced the motherboard, you're going to have to reinstall the OS. What OS were you working with prior to the motherboard/platform swap? You also forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and the a little more detail about the ram(kit?) you're using. Make and model of your SSD?

It is not the boot device that I care about at the moment. I updated my BIOS this morning to see if that would make a difference, and to my surprise, it didn't. It actually took 26 seconds to reach the BIOS screen. Since I don't have windows boot loader, I cannot boot into windows, however, that is not really big of an issue at the moment.

My power supply is a EVGA 80+ 850w. More than enough for this build. My SSD is a Crucial 250GB.

Main concern is that from when I press power on, to when it reaches BIOS is 26 seconds now, and that is an issue. Any thoughts?

After purchasing and installing my new hardware into the new case, It took 18 seconds to turn on the lights to my keyboard and turn on the monitor to display the bios. I updated my BIOS to the latest version via USB and after installation, the POST time grew about 8 more seconds to 26 seconds.

The main problem is, is that my PC used to take 7 seconds from power on button pressed, to windows ready to log in. Now it take 32 seconds to fully boot into the BIOS. It also doesn't recognize my SSD, that has windows installed on it, as a bootable device, so I technically don't have an OS installed.

The difference in start up time has likely to do with the the difference explained in the next link,

don't think that what you describe is out of the ordinary.

The ssd has been set as first boot in the bios? Even so,installing windows new might well solve that problem as already said.

Unplug the ssd and remove the gpu.
Connect the monitor to the mobo.
Any diff?
