Description of Problem:
Hi everyone. A while back I had posted about stutter with my RTX 2060 after upgrading from a GTX 1060. I was never able to solve things completely, but for a while I kind of brushed things off thinking it was games fault (like fortnite or control stutter), because games such as Forza Horizon 4, Overwatch, and Star Wars battlefront 2 run fine.
Also Firestrike extreme runs fine, timespy runs fine.
Only firestrike normal has issues when I cap the FPS with rivatuner, without cap the test runs without issues, with cap, it stutters at the beginning for some reason (GTX 1060 doesn't have this issue)
But Lately I feel things have gotten worse.
I bought the Division 2 recently and tried its built in benchmark, the issue is that the benchmark shows stutter as follows:
RTX 2060:
Open game first time and run benchmark = no stutter
Run benchmark again and again = stutter in some specific parts every time
Close the game and re open to run benchmark, same behavior
First time benchmark = no stutter
Following benchmarks = stutters
(This happens with or without fps limit, with or without vsync)
Setting game mode to prefer maximum performance reduces the stutter almost completely but its weird because uncapping the fps should have the same effect of setting to speed to max.
GTX 1060:
No stutter at all in benchmark
In game I also get some hard stutters from time to time.
I would like some help finding the culprit here, whether is the card being faulty or what, as I also get some random hard stutter in games such as Red Dead Redemption 2.
