Question Second M.2 drive not detected on MSI MPG B650i Edge WiFi ?

The 2nd M.2 slot, M2_2 in the bios, isn't detected more than 10% of the time. Tested multiple new drives in the slot, but it seems to be that the M.2 slot itself is malfunctioning. I have tried two separate bios revisions, 7D73v13 and 7D73v16 respectively.

I refuse to RMA it without first attempting to fix it myself. The MSI service rep essentially told me to get bent and RMA it anyway.
What's weird is that the drive in the 2nd slot is detected maybe like, 10% of the time? But never twice in a row. I've even had it just disconnect in windows at random.

I was hoping this was just a bios fix away.

Update the motherboard´s BIOS
check the motherboard´s CPU socket, if there are bent pins

check the pins of the M.2 slot
did you tighten the screw of the M.2 to fixate the SSD? maybe too tight or too lose?

Ended up truly being a DOA board. A few days after the post the motherboard shorted with a pop and smoke. Amazon replaced it.
Just forgot to close the board.
