I think 150k is a 'somewhat' reasonable considering the 2nd degree murder charge. It's not a non-refundable expense. All he has to do is show up for court and they get it back. Father probably put up the house as collateral to the bondsman.

Look marv, what youre saying is your opinion, but consider this.
The government, the law, the laws we make and abide by, they speak volumes about who we are.
If we decide to sidestep those laws, weve certainly taken a step backwards.
Those laws provide protection for you to find him guilty and a racist before his trial in your opinion.

Theres been an illegal bounty placed upon this mans head, threats to his entire family, and his family asked to testify in the hearing mind you, not the true case, by phone, for fear of exposure.

The only excuse I want is the truth whichever way that turns out to be, unlike you. Why are you totally against finding out the truth? Would you feel bad for another black person even if it turns out he was guilty? U tell me why only blacks are being persecuted. I do not keep up with what type of person goes to jail. I usually go with the guilty party who goes to jail not the "approved" race that you claim. If a black person commits a crime, they commuted a crime. Why is that hard to understand. The same goes to any race, get it? I bet most people wouldnt know Obama is a white African just by looking at him, what's your point. If people put a bounty dead or alive on your son, maybe he and the rest of Zimmermans family is worried about their safety. What's wrong with that? Here in my town a local police officer went off the deep end one day , shot the chief of police and then himself.

Well, in my state if you have any sort of stint in a inpatient mental health facility you can not purchase. If you have any sort of violent misdemeanor (even simple assault), you can not purchase. And I think, think, if you have been dishonorably discharged from the military you can not purchase. At least not legally.

Here's the thing. What is regulation? A law, right? Bad people, or criminals, by definition to not obey laws. That's why they are considered criminals. If you regulate guns until you are blue in the face, all you are going to do is prevent good law abiding people from having guns. The criminals and those with ill intent will have them, leaving the innocent vulnerable and easy prey by the predators of society.

I live in New Jersey, doesn't get much tougher to legally purchase a gun
Had to wait 12 week's for the background check to go thru in order to get a "lifetime" firearms purchaser I.D. ( long guns only )
Now I get to go thru a $15 instant background check when I go to make a purchase, I don't feel the idea is bad, just the extra cost, I already paid my $54 to get the card

When I moved to the next town over, still in the same county, had to go thru another background check ( another $54 ) in order to get a change of address on my card and be legal

Have to apply for a permit to purchase a pistol, usually takes about 2 weeks, could be longer as it is issued at the "discretion" of the head of local law enforcement
My wife is also a registered gun owner, if I take one of her pistols to the range I am committing a crime

The criminals and those with ill intent will have them

Delluser1, Zimmerman didn't do anything wrong by stepping out of his vehicle. As far as I know, Martin ran away. Zimmerman went back to his vehicle and that is when the two were face to face. So there is a chance Martin confronted Zimmerman. Who threw first we don't know. Sooooo everyone is still in the dark for the truth. If it were me and someone was following me, I wouldn't be on the phone with a g/f, I would be calling the cops.

You say Z ran back to his truck,I haven't seen or read anything to that effect
I haven't got all of the facts, no one does, probably never will, I stated what I believe based on what I do know, Z was armed and told not to follow M, he did so anyway.
While on the phone Z stated that he "lost him" yet moments later M is dead, that means that he searched for him,no matter the intent that leave's no right to self defense under the stand your ground law

Answer this;
What kind or responsible carrier of a firearm keeps it tucked in his waistband and not in a holster designed to prevent it from being taken or falling to ground accidentally ?

I'm a supporter of the stand your ground law, but where I come from standing your ground doesn't mean following someone because you believe them to look suspicious due to thier clothing, that's what the police are for.

First of all, I dont think they can prove what theyre trying to, and secondly, the facts as we know them currently disproves the profiling bit, unless you work for NBC

I've read that Zimmerman was following Martin when he was on the phone with the police. He told the dispatcher he was following Martin. The dispatcher responded with "we don't need you to do that", in which case Zimmerman stopped following and returned to his truck where the confrontation occured.

He wasn't told not to follow and did anyway. He was following, told to stop, and then he did so.

Zimmermans 911 call was timestamped at 7:09
About 1 min 50 secs in he's told that they don't need him to follow Martin
20 seconds or so later he states that Martin ran and requests that police call him for his location

Martins call to his gf was timestamped at 7:12, during that call she claims he states that he's being followed, hears him ask Z why he's following, hears Z ask what M is doing there and then the line go dead

So Martin ran away, calls his girlfriend, then come's back to confront Zimmerman while on the phone with her ?
