I keep firearms in my house. I don't have kids, but the safe keeps them safe. No one needs to know the combo. I can set additional temporary combos if required as well.

I like the prosecution's question I saw when he was on the stand:

"What were you thinking when you commited this crime?"

Agreed
I was under the impression that his gun was just tucked in his waistband, read another article that says it was in a holster

That differs a little from the recording I heard
1:54 Z says "he ran"
2:09 he's told not to follow
2:29 he's asked for his address

Don't know how much it may have been editted

Going with that timeline I have a hard time believing that M ran, called his gf and came back to confront Z while on the phone
Really don't believe that she would have made up hearing the initial confrontation

Something else
"he seemed to be wandering aimlessly in the rain, not with the purpose of a normal person"
Who the hell gets to determine how someone is supposed to be walking in the rain ?
What if he'd been dancing ?

+1 for responsible gun ownership

I heard some audio that originally sounds like Z said "f'ing wise scholar" but when it was filtered a lot, it sounds like Z said "F'ing cold". Which the night it happened, it was cold. So let's take that into consideration.

So, cold and raining, and hes just wandering slowly?
Or was he?
Maybe he was moving quickly?
Does it matter.
Mr Z was there as a watchman, he followed up on that purpose.
What transpired when he first started, and at the end will matter.
Also, Id remind us all, he was on the phone with the police, knowing one would be there shortly.....

Why than don't the government start to investigate into this with these weapons being smuggled across the border and catering to these drug cartels.Answer is Obama and others are controlling this as we speak I am afraid to say.

It would, don't think we will

I don't have all the facts, going by what I see from the info available, leaving race out of the equation

An armed man with the illusion of authority due to having been given the title of "Captain of the Neighborhood Watch" , confronts a teenager he believes to be suspicious because he's wearing a hoodie, walking in the rain, and looks like he's high ( that's profiling jdj ) , just sayin

Yes it is, as the cops asked him to, he did as he was asked.
I can see the alternative
Im following this guy, he looks perfectly normal, and no, I wont tell you what hes wearing

Some common sense has to be had here, he was asked, it was his position to do what he did, as the cops asked.
This doesnt matter, and is NOT what the media portrayed at first, until other media didnt follow suit, and released the truth.
Its everything that happened after the cops told him to back off that counts

Yes common sense would be good
Would he have called the police if he hadn't already profiled Trayvon as a criminal type ?
I live in a mixed race, shore neighborhood, see kids, single and group's, walking around in hoodies in all types of weather
I'd have to be on the phone 24/7 if I looked thru Zimmermans suspicious eye's

I'm not concerned by what the media portrayed ;
Picture's of Trayvon the "good looking black kid" and Zimmerman "the thug" didn't form my opinion.
Pictures of Trayvon "the thug" and a well dressed Zimmerman won't change it.
Ever see a picture of David Duke ?
How about LLCoolJ ?
Yes common sense would be good

Zimmerman's phone call started the chain of events
Trayvon ran, Zimmerman said so
Trayvon ended up dead

Did Trayvon come back or did Zimmerman continue to follow ? I don't know for sure, but based on the available information ( and my sense of common sense ) I believe Zimmerman continued to follow, taking away his right to use the stand your ground law as a defense in court

I've raised my kid's and now worry about my grandkids, one of which is a 14 year old boy who dresses in the same manner as Trayvon, has his head in the clouds half the time ( hyperactive attention deficit disorder, wth ? ) and lives in Seminole County Fla.
I'm sure if he was confronted by someone he doesn't know, after having run away from them once, while in a neighborhood he has a reason to be in, that he would have something to say.
I pretty confident that he wouldn't go on the attack.
If he did would it not be justifiable under the stand your ground law ? Wouldn't he have reasonable fear of the person he ran from who is now confronting him ?

Yes common sense would be good

It's about time when make gov't accountable.

And the police.

Did Z confront Martin? Did Martin confront Z? Martin did just Tweet about him punching a bus driver just recently. Did the bus driver follow him also? I guess this self described "No Limit dear friend" did find his limit.

I see way too much violence nowadays, as if thats acceptable.
Things change, and it used to be one on one only, and then, only usually for a more noble reason.
Someone said here on Toms, they are seeing a much more agressive attitude, one that says, its better to be forgiven than to be caught attitude.
As we progress, this will only drive us all apart as we give up our grief for vengence.

Trying to figure out what was in Zs head wont solve abything, nor will it likely be right.
Problem is, our leaders fail us, and dont send us in this direction, but instead play only one side of the problem

I dont think anyone knows who Jay Sun is, and he certainly doesn't represent the majority. I don't even know who he is..... and I dont agree with him.

Can we make a deal?

If nothing happens on May 1st can we stop with the proselytizing riots in the streets every other month. Ive been here long enough to keep tabs on you OMG :) . If you look back at some older posts you do say that riots are right around the corner. You told Dogman it was going to happen last autumn. And again with the Arab Spring. Lets not get caught up in hysteria here.

Fair enough. Time will tell. I also meant rioting in the streets of the USA, I am fully aware of what is going on in Syria.

How do you make something that doesn't exist accountable? The word "Government" is an umbrella name for stuff. If you want to hold a corporation accountable, it ends up going to the CEO. Sure, we go after the President and a new one is elected, yet the same thing keeps going. There is so much red tape, crap, and excess in our government that it is impossible to hold anyone accountable. Within our government there is a simple, tried and true process for your "get out of jail free" card. The term is called "plausible deniability." It exists and is in full swing in our government.

WWilson was a great president who created the League of Nations and helped out people who really needed it than.To many chiefs and not enough indians I say.

True communism if you ever read what it is about is good and would eliminate this rich class completely and help the middle class and poor.EACH ACCORDING TO HIS ABILITY TO EACH ACCORDING TO HIS MEANS.Nothing wrong with pure socialism either. What happened down in Little Rock was not your great governor a Republican also!

Where did you get your facts about Wilson?

What if I have no ability?

In today's society I have this issue. My neighbor flies a helicopter for a hospital and gets paid crap. I work in IT and make a lot more than he does. The janitor at my work is paid the same amount of the helicopter pilot. The guy cutting the grass at work makes more than I do.

Under communism, I'm tossed in doing IT and get paid X. High stress job, lots of extra work, and probably dealing with more idiots. Then you have someone else without ability to do anything walking around mopping floors making the same amount?

Communism is great if you have no abilities and are lazy, or you work in the government doing the dictating of jobs. For anyone else it is good for the incapabable and bad for the capable.
