VRM/MOS FAN 12,000 RPM. I tried changing it in the MSI BIOS (latest version) and no matter what I clicked on, it stayed running at 12,000 RPM (MAX speeds). None of the setting options increased or decreased the the fan in MOS, Smart Fan mode changed nothing, All Full Speed changed nothing, Default change changed nothing. Adjusting the graph manually no matter where I positioned the circles didn't change its speeds either.

Going into Dragon Center didn't give me any options in adjusting the MOS Fan, it just showed it running at 12,000 RPM. The Temps stayed at a nice cool 30°C so that's good lol, but it is so loud at 12,000 RPM.

Do you guys think something broken, or am I just missing a step somewhere?

Here is a video of the noise:

I watched KitGuruTech's video on the board I own and his MOS fan didn't start spinning until it 70°C.

I ended up buying that exact same board a second time. Swapped it in and everything worked perfectly fine. Conclusion is there was something faulty with the board. I returned the broken one.

You might want to see if you can reflash the BIOS(manually) and if that resolves the issue. That being said, which version of BIOS are you currently on? Might I ask what that stray 3pin cable is from?
Hi,
Thanks for responding to my post. That 3 pin connector is to the AIO. I disconnected everything to determine it was my VRM fan causing the issue. I updated the BIOS to its latest E7C7IMS.120 by fishing it. Even rolled back to the previous 2 versions before that to see it made a difference.

The two links below are images of my BIOS and fan settings

You're welcome! Have you changed the modes on the cooling, from Silence to Manual and then the other options, then tried tinkering with the profiles/curves? See if removing the CMOS battery and replacing it after 15 minutes(while the system is powered down and disconnected from the wall socket) changes your experience.

I have played with the curves and the silence settings. But, the battery!!! Good idea! I will try that trick this afternoon, thanks.

Hello! I've got the same problem after updating bios on my MSI Z490 Unify to the one released couple of weeks ago. MOS fan not listening to any instructions given. Just stays at max RPM (same 12k). BIOS reset (including shunting battery's jumper) doesn't help. Have you been able to fix that?
