Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card near the end of this month. I'm aware of the new cards at CES 2025 being announced and figured I'll wait to see what AMD/Nvidia offers before I make any purchase.

My current system is powered by a MSI 3060 12GB and I'm looking to upgrade to something substantial that will last at least 3+ years for futureproof. I am going to be upgrading my monitor to a 1440p 240-360hz display so this would have to be considered.

I use my PC for office work and gaming primarily. I usually play competitive games e.g Fortnite, Call of Duty. Office work is graphic design so using softwares like Photoshop is what I do each day for work.

My requirements would be:
- White card
- 16GB VRAM ideally
- £700 and under

I'd love a card with three fans but if there is two then it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Please could anyone recommend some cards for me to consider within my budget and availability within the UK. I'm open to both AMD and Nvidia, with Nvidia being the preferred as I have only previously used a 1060 and 3060.

My Build

Many thanks,
Lewis

Aim a bit higher and I'd go with 4070 to super

Zotac Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER white

This is probly the most efficient card your going to find while also giving you the longest life at 1440p with 16gb

I use a 4070 super which does fine at 135-165 no ray tracing.

On amds side which is bang on your budget
7900xt pure raster no raytracing or fancy eye candy.

I would pick ROG Strix 4060 Ti 16GB and Hellhound RX 7800 XT (16gb) considering your requirements,

ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4060 Ti 16GB (Amazon: 530$) tough slightly less powerful than the RTX 4070, but has it can DLSS3 scaling technology which's powerful enough to pull heavy games. Plus, it's one of the few graphic cards in your budget that can provide CUDA core support to keep up with your designing software.

Else, go for PowerColor Hellhound RX 7800 XT (Amazon Price: 520$) talking about 16GB one. It's good for high refresh rates monitors (240-360Hz) and 16gb VRAM combined can be whole rounded alternative for running your gaming and productivity demanding software.

Asus is always a quality provider but I can commend PowerColor plus it has good reviews as well. Good Luck.

700GBP equals 6330CNY, in China you can buy any type of 4070tisuper, and almost every non-flagship 7900xtx. Taking Britain's product price into consideration, You may get any 4070ti/7900xt. Among to your desc, you need 16G vram, so it's Powercolor's 7900xt white hellhound,Sapphire's 7900xt white nitro.

Is 7900GRE available in EA? If so and you want to save a bit, pick XFX's 7900GRE Nirvana, it's cheaper.
Is Zephyr available in EA? If so and you want to save a lot, pick Zephyr's 6900xt venti, it's 300GBP.
