I have formatted and installed windows so many times in the last few days due to some error or glitch. Sometimes the WIndows Start Menu won't open on pressing the Win key, other times many parts of control panel won't directly open give the error " The item you selected is unavailable it has been removed/moved/deleted" ,it is the same when trying to open powershell. Sfc/Scannow gives errors but can't fix them. Has windows always been so laggy.I even bought an oem to activate windows and now I will have to format it again. Any suggestions?

Full hardware specs including CPU, motherboard, memory kit, storage devices, graphics card, exact power supply model, etc.?

When you say "formatted and installed" do you mean you are formatting the C: partition and reinstalling Windows to that partition OR do you mean you disconnected all drives except the one the OS is going ON and the drive your installation media is ON, and then during the installation you are choosing the "Custom" method, deleting ALL existing partitions on the drive and then doing a CLEAN install to the unformatted, unpartitioned space remaining on the target drive?

What is your current motherboard BIOS version?

Are you relying on the Windows drivers or are you going to the product page for your motherboard and graphics card and installing the manufacturer supplied drivers directly from the source?

i5 9400f
Crucial 2666Mhz 8gb ram x2 ,gigabyte GTX 1060 3gb,
Mobo-asus prime h310m
HDD - Seagate barracuda 1tb (has a few bad sectors which cause pc to crash while gaming but I sont think they could corrupt windows)
Psu- ante vp450p
I did a clean install of all partitions. Do you think
Using kms activator for ms office corrupted windows.but this didn't happen in my previous system.

How could KMS activator be relevant or even present if you've "formatted and installed Windows so many times" over the last few days and are trying to do a clean install?

If you are talking about AFTER installing Windows, then yes, KMS activator is probably very possibly related. Do you have this problem when that ISN'T in use on the system? For the record, we can't help with pirated software so please keep that off your system and don't mention it again during this thread.

Install Windows, install all the latest drivers from the motherboard and graphics card product pages, do NOT install Office or KMS activator, and see if you still have the same problems.

Ok then I'll try this ,but now I'm starting to think bad sectors could be doing this.
