It is quite easy to bypass Windows 11 hardware requirements to load Win11 on older equipment. Google is your friend.
Win10 is my last MS OS. When it is dropped by MS, Linux Mint will go on it. I can't stand using 10 so 11 will never go on my i7 7700 which is not compatable with Win11 unless you have a MS laptop with an i7 7700 in it then it is compatable.
I just built a DAW for my condo. Mobo is LGA775 Q9650 3.0 GHz 8GB RAM. It runs IBM PC-DOS 7 Revision 1, Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 SP1, and Linux Mint 20.3.
Linux Mint does all my email (Thunderbird) and Firefox does all the browsing. LibreOffice does all my document needs, The ethernet port is disabled in Xp & 7. My recording apps are Reaper, Sonar 8.5 and othe recording utils.
If you have never tried Linux Mint I urge you to give it a spin. Try Linux Mint 21.3 with the Cinamon desktop. It is a great solution to using Win11.
