In a word, misery. Never have i had so many issues with an OS, constant issues of freezing and crashes from something so simple as plugging in a thumb-drive only to be met with BSOD. I'm just thankful i decided to only upgrade one of my computers so atleast my laptop still works fine.

Of the 3 devices here I've Upgraded, not a burp or problem with any of them.
A now 7 year old Toshiba laptop (Upgraded on day one), the house server/HTPC, and a 4 month old Asus Transformer.

Zero issues.

Still have 2 systems to go.

I am currently running OS Version:
10586.13070 Windows 10 Mobile

according to Windows Recovery Tool. I just got an update a few minutes ago I was wondering how many other people out there are running the same OS version? I attached screen shot.

I am on Nokia Lumia 930 firmware:
02540.00019.15235.40008

Same here. I tried to update my nvidia 960s drivers to the current 361.75 version and it repeatedly refused it.

I wouldnt call forcing updates being user friendly :)

In all honesty, forced updates is a very good idea, there's more or less no reason not to keep your home computer updated.
IMO people whose unpatched computers get infected and attatched to botnets should be fined.

For me Windows 10 is now perfect and the best operating system except for the virtual desktops being quite annoying, especially if you RDP a lot.

I've been using the Redstone 1 version for a few days now and I've had no issues to report so far. Since my internet has been off ever since then I can't make a full report on Redstone 1. But as far as watching videos and playing games go, it's been perfect.

I've enjoyed Windows 10 so far, been using it for about a year now and all I can say is no problems at all. It's nifty and fast and I like it a lot compared to Windows 8.1.

Which build? 10586.104?

I haven't experienced any buys since the first few insider preview releases.

Hard to believe. I have nothing but bugs crawling around in my windows 10 computer. I'd much rather have the much hated Vista operating system than windows 10.

*Blueagle* - Nifty ? Really? What astral plane you flying on dude?

Of my 3 Win 10 systems, all have had zero issues.
1 of them from day 1 of the Tech Preview.

Soon to be 5 systems.

Only issue I have with the latest build is WMA files do not playback in Winamp(looks like it relies on something that has been removed.).

The latest build actually generates an error.

It is going to be a pain to re-rip everything to FLAC or another lossless codec so I hope they do fix this. It is better than it was in the last 3 or so builds since it at least generates an error instead of just skipping it and showing 0:00 for the time.

If anyone has any Ideas. I am all ears(already reinstalled 10 just in case. took almost 2 weeks for insider builds to start coming in again after that).

Do you keep your PC up to date? The reason why I've had no issues for the most part is because I do all my computer maintence pretty frequently, whether it's checking for viruses or keeping all bios and drivers up to date.

Same. I guess those who maintain their pcs the way microsoft intending them to get less bugs.

I have installed this (as an upgrade from 7 flagship edition) on 3 different computers round the house and they have been totally solid and stable, so far its looking like a decent operating system. Just personal experience.

It's not too hard. It also applies to ALL PCs. PCs don't just run. They're like cars in the sense that they need to be maintained.

Once a month take a few minutes and make sure all the drivers and (especially) BIOS are up to date, check for viruses (preferably with malwarebytes), and clean up old programs you aren't using.

Seems silly. only had it 1 month.
There is a bunch of stuff people are complaining about that am having problems as them. I could make a whole list of stuff.

- some of apps don't work - hate apps anyways on desktop computers apps take forever to load no different than windows 8.
-VLC doesn't work as a program, it crashes. Read on microsoft app site some guy said even the VLC app crashes. Microsoft DVD app doesn't work either.

- put a ? mark or any other key and forget can't use it to save pdf file the window just stays there. no message, no sound, locks save window right up

- i left my camera hooked to computer after copying photos to desktop, deleted them off camera, and it deleted them off desktop as well. found out its been a problem since windows 7. still not fixed.

- keeps downloading updates that could not be installed. once install fails windows 10 downloads them again bogging down computer.

- i switch default app from microsoft to program i prefer and windows 10 switches back to microsoft app. the only way to stop it from doing that is to delete microsoft app. their adobe app sucks as one example

* i could make the list longer but i will find ways of a getting around these problems.

-VLC works just fine on all my Win 10 PC's
-"?" No idea of what you mean
-Camera? Sounds like a procedural problem with that camera transfer software. I've never had an issue with mine
-Updates? Yeah, maybe
-I don't use MS 'apps'

I never use windows apps, so I rarely have those problems. I've got the updates failing problem too. I found this script somewhere on the internet. Would have posted the link but cant find it.

Put the following code into a .bat file and run it as admin.

net stop wuauserv
cd %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution
ren Download Download.old
net start wuauserv

Sorry, i thought it was know about camera problem. If you open a folder on your camera, and then copy/paste into a new folder on your computer, then just hit delete on the camera folder, it will delete folder contents on both camera and computer if you don't close the folder on the computer first. Not sure if it does it every time but i believe it is when both folders contents are lit up in blue. It should only delete items in the folder you are in but it deletes in both folders. I lost a bunch of vacation pictures and video before i noticed it did that. If it happens you can save the pictures/video as long as you don't empty the recycling bin because they go in there.
