I recently built a PC with a functioning M.2 Samsung Evo 500 GB card and Western Digital 2 TB Storage HDD. I want to be able to use both at the same time so that I can maximize the most storage out of both drives. Before, I attempted to make a storage pool but I'm unable to do so for unknown reasons. I received a notification saying "Can't prepare drives." I was wondering if instead of creating a pool or using RAID I could simply "Change where new content is saved" and have files be sent to my 2 TB HDD without these files being potentially corrupted or intervened with- is this method safe? I'd essentially be treating this files as I would any portable flash USB by just letting files sit there. Is there some other alternative?

Solution
Entirely unsure what the problem is.

Multiple drives are no problem. Just 2 different drive letters.
RAID between those two things you have? NO.

What are you trying to achieve here?
