I have recently got a new Ryzen Threadripper 1920x and a x399 Aorus Gaming 7 TR4 in a bundle. My current PSU is just a year old EVGAGQ 1000w and is working fine but I lost some of the cables and now I'm left with one 4pin CPU power connector. The Aorus Gaming 7 motherboard has one 4pin and one 8pin CPU power connectors. Currently it boots into bios/posts fine. But I'm wondering if I need to use the 8pin or not for the Threadripper. I am not really planning on overclocking the CPU btw. Thanks in advance.

I will try and contact them. The only problem is that I've heard that the GQ series is no longer in production and therefore EVGA may not provide support for the item anymore.
