Klipsch pro media 4.1 edition (don't think they sell it anymore). I wish I would have ponied up the extra 100$ for the 5.1 but these are the best speakers I have owned for my PC.

HT Omega Claro Halo sound card hooked up to a preamp which goes into an amp and out to some stereo cabinet speakers.

i have a nice set of Creative 750 Gigaworks 7.1, but the bass is to concentrated on the subwoofer... i've started to dislike X.1 setups because of that, even the good logitech 5.1's are almost the same... in the future i'm thinking of just buying a professional sound card and attach +4 good studio speakers, since i dont even have good conditions to set all the speakers for the surround effect...

I use Logitech Z5500s paired with TWO sets of KLH 2100i 2.1 speakers with 2 subs.

So technically I have a 9.3 surround system. Although my sound card only outputs 7.1 so the others are basically for more noise and power. Total power is 1800 watts RMS - 900 normal watts. It ticks off the family hehe.

You can still use a sub, but you need something with a X-over to move some off the bass up off the sub. If you get a decent set of sats and a decent sub, the sub could do this or you could use a decent HT receiver and it'll have a X-over

I have JBL Creature speakers (2.1) that are typically hooked up. I also have a Pioneer 5.1 surround system (860 watt) that I can plug into. Bose headphones too. :)

Altec Lansing, AOPEN AMERICA INC., Asus, Avantalk, Benwin, BOYNQ, Compaq, Creative Labs, Cyber Acoustics, Dell, Eagle Tech, Frisby, Gateway, Genius, Harman Kardon, Hewlett-Packard, iceTECH, Insignia, Jasco Products, JBL, jWIN, Kensington, Kinyo, Klipsch, Labtec, Logitech, Micro Innovations, Midiland, Mint, Miyako, myTunes, Philips, Realworld Technology, Saitek, Sony, Spherex, SRV Innovations, The Speaker Company, Victory

Maxell 2.1 or Maxell headphones when it's late and I don't want to wake up everybody in the house...

bleh, dont know why the sentence came out messed up, anyway creative gigaworks s750 7.1, paired with creative fatality platinum card. Sounds great and goes beyond what i would need it for.

Creative T3030 which is a 2.1
the '.1' is necessary for me
Creative is great though their speakers have been degrading in quality in the past 3 years. They are producing newer speakers with as little as possible materials.

Creative Gigaworks g500 5.1
Had them about 2 years. It was the only set I could find with one set of surround inputs and 1 set of aux inputs. I have two computers and I really didn't want to have two speaker sets.

At the time Logitech wasn't shipping their current highend set, they'd just put out a wireless system that was later dropped because it caused massive interference (then they brought back the old high-end set).

I looked at Altec Lansing as well but their highend set had a sound card built in and a usb interface. That seemed odd, and wouldn't work with my outputs.

Someone needs to make a wired 5.1 (200-300 watt) set with digital coax, optical, 3 plug surround inputs and aux in. They should include no-nail 3m wall mounts, design the speakers to look nice stuck to the wall, and use white or transparent wires so it doesn't show. Also they should refrain from using 20 superbright blue leds or give me a switch to turn them off.

I have an x-fi titanium pci-e on one pc and on-board on the other.

Speakers: Altec Lansing 251 5.1 Surround (4.1 right now. Rear Right wire broke. They are 6 years old)

Headset: Creative Fatal1ty or Sony earbuds
