[SOLVED] Will Windows 11 ever be available for weak CPUs?

I have an old laptop i would like to install Windows 11 on. I ran Microsoft's PC Health Check program, and it showed that absolutely every single requirement is met, except the CPU. The CPU is:

AMD a4-9120e RADEON R3, 4 COMPUTE CORES 2C+2G

So, what do you think? Will this CPU be included in the list of supported CPUs?

And this is typical.
In fact, the compatibility of Win 10 with older hardware is an aberration. It was rare for a Windows OS to support that level of hardware age.

That's a relatively new (3 years) but very weak CPU.

Microsoft can be whimsical, but I certainly wouldn't rely on them to change the Windows 11 requirements.

As far as I know, MS has not changed the requirements for Win 11 recently if at all.

Win 11 isn't significantly different and Win 10 will be supported for 3 more years.

If it's not on the list now, it will never be on the list. It's not really so much the performance but whether or not the manufacturer of the hardware cares about it enough to support it. And I don't think AMD really cares about its Athlon based line anymore.

I have the same issue with a HP OMEN 870-130VX . Meets all requirements except processor. Intel Core i7-6700. Definitely should handle Win 11

Use rufus to create an installation media and it will bypass the cpu requirement.
It's only the installer that checks for CPU, windows itself has zero checks against hardware for it to run.

yeah,the big question is whether or not ms will plug this loophole.my old fx6300 is running 22h2 win11 pro without a hickup so far.ive got a backup should it go sideways on me.

I have an I3-6320 - planning to just keep Win 10 until it's closer to EOL.

For my compatible PCs, I'm in the process of upgrading - 2 out of 4 completed.
