I have an HP Elitebook 8560w that’s acting kinda weird. I try to install different distros of Linux on it but after it installs, it acts as if there is no OS when it restarts after install.

Its had Linux installed on it in the past. Below is what I’ve done:
Different SSDs
Used main HDD bay and in the the “Upgrade Bay”
Linux sees an OS is installed when trying to install again.
Tried from DVD and Thumb drives
Tried different distros (Pop OS and Ubuntu)
USB 2 and 3 ports
Rufus and Etcher to make the drives
Reset BIOS settings and security.

I’m just kinda lost at the moment.

Boots to Windows 11 just fine.

That is as expected.

Did you try to boot when only the OS drive was used ?

Have you tried to manually select what drive to boot from (look in motherboard manual for keyboard shortcut or maybe it's revealed on screen) ?

And - have you tried to disable secure boot in bios ?

The thing is, it doesn't have secure boot, even UEFI is experimental on it.
