Still kinda new to the new build but been having alot of performance issues with a few games, mainly being final fantasy xiv and black desert online. a few other games as well but those are the major ones. Doesnt seem to matter what settings i change performance is always just stuttery and or not smooth. From what google'ing i've done i THINK it may be a CPU bottle neck as both games are pretty CPU intense but unsure looking for advice. Performance wise with nothing going on things are usually fine, but the moment any combat with a group of people/enemies will kick up performance drops pretty fast from 144 fps to around 40-50. Just tiring watching any game i run chug pretty badly if i run on anything above low-medium.

Notes* CPU temps were bad with stock fan, upgraded to an AIO and temps now sit round 50-60c at most underload. idle 45c

Any advice would be greatly appreciated <3

Edit: Enable XMP has fixed most of my issues

Noted. i'll have to see about trying that. test i did recoommoned by another here showd the ram was underperforming as well.
You already have 3200 ram try what driveinfast said.

Done! RAM was in the correct slots just not enabled, did as suggested and retested. results were better this time

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/58415227

Will need to play more to actually know if it made a noticable impact. but BDO after 20 minutes does feel abit better, still a few hiccups but no where near bad as it was.

Now the ram is running at the correct speed.

Next step......update the bios your way behind and also the chipset driver if that is old.

Run ubm again and post a link.

Reboot.
Wait a few mins.
Run ubm with the browser closed.

userbenchmark is a piece of garbage as a benchmarking tool lol, but sometimes it make it easy to see issues that may be affecting a system.

Glad you got it better by enable XMP as drivinfast247 suggested. I would have wrote the same but I went to sleep lol.

Is up to you but I would hold a bit about BIOS update. Yes is not as new as it could be, but your CPU was launch in 2020, and theres nothing really big/usefull in the BIOS page (https://www.gigabyte.com/ar/Motherboard/Z590-GAMING-X-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios) other than some major vulnerabilities updates in version F6 (which you may never be affected with). Also before updating BIOS, do update your chipset first.

Cheers
