Hy!

My problem is 165 hz and 144 hz and 120 hz not smooth gameplay in fps game.
However, if I reduce it to 60 fps in the game and back to 120, the picture is smoother, but still not the best:
Why is this, how can it be solved to make it smoother from 120 fps, or 144 or 165 would be best, why are you doing this??

Thank you help. :)

Thing is, your GPU isn't powerful enough to get 60+ FPS @ 1080p. So, even when you have 165 Hz monitor, which can show up to 165 FPS (1 Hz = 1 FPS), your GPU is way too weak. Hence why your gameplay isn't smooth.

Now, if your GPU would be GTX 1660 Ti (like i have it), or RTX 3060 and up, then you can get 144+ FPS with smooth gameplay.

E.g here's comparison between your GTX 1050 Ti and my GTX 1660 Ti,

See any difference? :)

Fps over refresh isn't good either, like missing pages in a flip book, fluency won't be apparent.

Csgo can be quite cpu intensive as well so play on an empty server and compare what your system is capable of visually without anything else taxing cpu. Cpu is responsible for gpu performance so that's why i suggest this.

Btw, gsync doesn't work if fps is outside of it's range so vsync or an fps limit is used to constrain fps where it needs to be. Can either limit fps in csgo but if that alone still doesn't smooth things then try fps limiter in NvidiaCP to 1 fps lower than refresh and turn vsync on. There should be no input lag from vsync.

Yes, it is completely different on my own server than on the other servers, but in the past there was a 60hz monitor and a 144hz one, where I have this problem, this is my latest monitor with 165hz and if, for example, I drop it to 60 fps in the game, then I reset it to 120- ra then it is much smoother, but after a while the image is not smoother again

Accumulating system resources maybe, bogging down system eventually. Or it could be thermals. Check temps with Coretemp what it gets to while gaming. Another 8gb for dual channel would help your cpu perform better. Check task manager as well for services increasing in memory or cpu activity.

Hy!

My problem is
In fps games: csgo: When the cap is 60 fps max and then I wait a bit, let's put it back to 300 fps, then the gameplay is smooth, but only for 1-5 seconds and then the gameplay is still slow. Why could this be? I've tried everything, reinstalling the machine and other settings, unfortunately it doesn't work, I used to have a 144hz monitor that I bought used: and when I first turned it on, the gameplay was very smooth for a while, then it was so bad, when I bought this 165hz monitor, I experienced the same thing. Maybe I should clean my machine, since it hasn't been in 3-4 years xdddddd??

Also, if I go to the monitor settings and pull down the monitor color temp, this phenomenon is smooth for a while and then it's so bad.

Hy everyone! :(

My problem is VG248QG g-sync 165 hz monitor because fps game (CSGO, Counter-strike 1.6) In CSGO: it doesn't work completely, Counter-Strike 1.6 it doesn't work at all.
smooth play is not that fast, as if vsync works at 60hz, and the game also has 165hz.
I have tried:
  1. I reinstalled windows,
  2. I installed another NVIDIA Driver.
  3. I made other settings NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL: V-sync is on:
Fps max 162 cap.
What I noticed was that 2 years ago there was another monitor that was not g-synced, but it was 144hz when I first turned it on, it was so smooth that I have never seen it before, the game ran so smoothly, then as time passed, about the second time it was no longer like that , I bought this monitor brand new 4 months ago.
I really don't know why? Does anyone know this? :C Thank you in advance for your help <3
