Question Trying to put togeather my new computer, but it won't post but will light the ram up.

Hello I'm trying to fix/ put togeather my computer but nothing appears on the monitor that I have hooked up when I power it on. I've tried resetting the bios and what i imagine to be the simple things, but i would really like to get it working.

Ive got a

MSI Z690 motherboard with updated bios to support a 14 gen intel CPU

i7 14700k
1080ti
4x 32gb Trident Z5 neo RGB 6000mhz RAM ddr5
and also a thermaltake 1200W powersupply

First things first: simplify. Remove the GPU completely and run off the integrated graphics.

okay ive done that still just a black screen, it wakes the monitor up out of standby mode but nothing appears

Nothing appears on screen at all, just wakes the monitor up from sleep, then it will just dim itself after another 10 seconds

Consult your manual but there should be a couple of pins on your board to short to clear the cmos/bios.

What particular board do you have? Also may try with a single stick of ram to start.
