Hi, as the questions says I was wondering what happens if I increase the fan threshold in the app. I am hoping this will increase the minimum speed my fans will run at so they do not go below this RPM. Many thanks, Tom
I'm pretty sure that's a monitor, and tells you when the fans go below that, kind of like a warning. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. From what I can tell, the reason the minimum is 200 is because most fans don't operate below 250-300 rpm.

its the minimum speed the fans will run at, its to warn you when they try to run slower than fans actually can. If you increase the threshold, the warning will just happen sooner. I don't think it actually stops fans though.
Please help with 'Threshold' setting for Fan RPM in Asus Fan Xpert 3
Hello, Sorry for having to ask again, but I've spent some time playing around with these RPM Threshold settings in Fan Xpert 3 but am unable to figure out what they do. There isn't a product manual that explains them. Could someone who knows please shed some light on the purpose of these...forums.tomshardware.com
yes. That is how I interpret it. There isn't a lot of info on what they all do.
The guide doesn't even mention it - https://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/m...E172_200_Series_AI_Suite_3_Guide_web_only.pdf
I don't see it here
