Hello everyone. I just would like to start by saying this is my very first post ever to any forum on any website. So apologies about any misunderstandings. Also this is my first PC build ever. I will be having a friend who's done builds before help me so I won't be going in blindly. I found a post regarding new builds/questions that had a template on it so I'll be using it as a guide.
Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime in March 2019
Budget Range: $1100 max including tax/shipping
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mainly gaming, secondary surfing the internet and watching YouTube.
Are you buying a monitor: No, I currently have a MSI G24C (144hz 1ms 1080p)
Parts to Upgrade: Everything. Building a new PC from scratch.
Do you need to buy OS: No.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter
Location: United States
Parts Preferences: Preferred Intel CPU
Overclocking: No, I don't know how to.
SLI or Crossfire: No.
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: I'm looking for advice and knowledge on the parts I picked, if there are parts that should't go together, or there's better part for better performance. My build has RGB features but it's not a necessity. Only part I plan to keep from my old PC is the 1TB HDD.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I've recently switched from console to PC. My journey has been about 6 months long now. I do not see myself going back to console so here I am trying to find advice on building a new pc from scratch. At the moment, I've converted a business desktop into a budget gaming build. I have a HP Z230 SFF i5 4460 @ 3.2GHz, 16GB 1600MHz RAM, 1TB 7200RPM Seagate HDD, Radeon RX560 4GB.
